If your morning coffee comes with a side of groovy beats and disco balls, you might be at Bonita Springs’ newest hotspot.

Disco Bean is now open, blending specialty coffee with music culture in a space that feels more like a retro dance floor than a traditional café.

From the moment customers walk in, it is clear this is not your average coffee shop. Funky furniture fills the space, coasters resemble vinyl records, vintage speakers line the walls, and a DJ table sits ready with stacks of records waiting to be spun.

The disco-inspired concept comes from founder Patty Amandis, better known as DJ Pat Pat, who said music and coffee have always been part of her life.

“I’ve been around coffee and music my whole life. My family and I owned a Cuban cafe in East Naples and sold Cuban coffee,” Amandis said.

The name Disco Bean reflects the shop’s playful, retro modern theme.

“Everyone can relate to the word disco,” Amandis said.

Disco Bean offers more than just coffee. Customers can browse through a full vinyl collection, with records priced anywhere from $1 to $100, making it easy for both casual listeners and serious collectors to find something special.

Every corner of the shop tells a story, thanks to months of careful collecting.

“I spent seven months collecting these speakers and vintage items on the walls. Some are from my family, others tell the story of other families,” Amandis said.

Even the bathrooms double as photo opportunities. Disco balls hang overhead, and one bathroom is covered wall to wall with more than 500 seven-inch vinyl records.

“I travel all around the world and wanted to create a bathroom that made people stop and look,” Amandis said.

Behind the scenes, the coffee is just as intentional as the décor. Disco Bean sources its beans from Colombia, creating a smooth and balanced taste. Many of the pastries and treats are supplied by local Southwest Florida businesses, keeping the shop rooted in the community.

The space transforms throughout the day, offering a family-friendly coffee shop vibe in the morning and a late-night, disco-inspired atmosphere in the evening. Along with freshly brewed coffee, customers can enjoy hand-scooped ice cream while browsing classics and rare vinyl finds.

Amandis brings more than 27 years of experience at the mixing desk to the space. Her career has taken her around the world. Now, she is bringing that same energy home to Southwest Florida, one cup of coffee and one record at a time.

Disco Bean is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
